Tamil director Naveen thanked actor
Prakash Raaj for helping an underprivileged meritorious Dalit girl to
secure her admission in the UK. He also said that the actor went on to
contribute a sum for her to finish her Masters education and has funded
her to finally get a job in the UK. In a series of tweet, Naveen
Mohamedali, a producer and director of Tamil films said, "Thanks &
salute to this man Prakash Raaj. He has financially helped Siri
Chandana, a fatherless poor meritorious Dalit girl, secure her admission
to the UK university, finish her Masters and now has funded for her to
find a job there too. Thanks sir for making a difference in one's life."
Further, Naveen said that he
forwarded an article from Round Table India to Prakash Raaj and
requested him to help the girl. After verifying if the request was
genuine, the actor spoke to Siri Chandana and took up her education, he
said. The director also said that for the
aspirants who are facing issues due to denial of opportunities and
factors like poverty people like Prakash Raaj is a guiding light. According to Round Table India, T
Siri Chandana completed her BSc from Adikavi Nannaya University in
Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh and received scholarships from three
Universities including the University of Salford in Manchester, Wrexham
Glyndwr University in Wrexham and Solent University, Southampton for MA
in Computer Science and Information Technology. However, she could not
pursue her dreams due to financial obstacles. Hence, she sought help
from the public.
