Nampally: A round-table conference on 'Violence against Dalit, Adivasi women' was organised by Dalit SthreeShakthi (DSS) at Medina Education Centre in Nampally on Monday.
NaliniRaghuraman, Economic Advisor, British High Commission, Hyderabad, J Shylaja, Additional Director, SC Development Department, Dr N SiddojiRao, convener of IAS/IPS Officers' Forum, P Y Giri, DCP (Crimes), DrVinod Kumar, former Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Naga Lakshmi, SP-CID, M NarsingRao, K Shiva Kumari, DrShobhaPerumalla, Gaddam Jhansi, national convener of DSS, Daniel Vijay Prakash, national programme manager of DSS, and others took part in the deliberations. Several affected women, families of the deceased narrated their horrible experiences. Most of them are still waiting for justice from different courts.
