Dalit Stree Shakthi (DSS), an organization to protect the rights of Dalit women, held a conference on its campaign in response to the United Nations' call to end all forms of violence against women.
The organisation's members had launched awareness programmes for Adivasi women who live in remote areas of the state to educate them about the government's welfare schemes. DSS national convener G Jhansi said the campaign was held from November 25 till Saturday across the state in an attempt to prevent crimes against women.
